While many of us in the U.S have been blessed with above average temperatures throughout the Summer and Fall, the cold temperatures towards the north have to eventually pay us a visit. That will likely be the case as we go into next week (week of 10/22/2023) where a powerful low-pressure system is forecasted to move northeastward through the Central U.S (originating from the southwest) beginning early next week. Unseasonably warm temperatures will be the storyline for the Central and Eastern U.S for the first half of next week.... But don't let that fool you. Behind this system, cold air from the north is expected to rush in behind this cold front and bring some of our first freezing temperatures to the Central and Eastern portions of the U.S towards the end of next week.
